Investing in the Future
Listening to the daily bombardment of international conflict and uncertainty makes most of us wish we could do something to change the headlines. The Stanford International Initiative is just such an opportunity. By bringing great minds together around complex problems and employing this multidisciplinary approach with both today's policy makers and the students who are tomorrow's leaders, Stanford is playing a critical role in the search for solutions.
When I look at my philanthropic endeavors, the most rewarding are those that allow me to give back to institutions that have shaped my life while simultaneously having a tangible impact on the world's problems. My commitment to the International Initiative represents my belief that Stanford University is uniquely positioned to leverage private support for public good.
Whatever your personal philanthropic goals, I hope you will give serious consideration to this effort. Solving international problems won't be simple or fast. But in the years ahead, Stanford's remarkable resources and innovative approach will make a real difference.
